- Frontal protection for cars between 900 and 1300 kg, traveling up to 80 km/h
- Combined modules, in order to make possible also wider protection
- Plastic lightweight cover, for resistance to environment
- Internal “honeycomb” plastic material, which gradually collapses under pressure
- Outside belting for guidance, connected to the rear backup or obstacle.
DIA, in the main configuration, is composed by 10 elements, each one of 600 mm absorbing depth and 900 mm width. On the front plastic face can be applied an arrow or different sign indication.
The weight of an element is about 25 kg.
Laterally, every element is connected through screws or rivets to a plastic/fabric belt, fastened to the rear backup.
DIA has been designed through computer simulations and tested at the French Laboratory LIER according to the European standard on crash cushions.
DIA is a good and cheap solution for the protection of frontal impacts in places like toll booths or low speed areas, where a lateral impact is very unlikely or impossible.
DIA is a Snoline product covered by international patent and all rights are reserved.
Therefore there have been developed protecting devices, called Crash cushions or Attenuators, which will absorb the impacting energy, slowing down safely the vehicle. |
